About The Position

The Quality Inspector position involves working with blueprints, digital models, and customer specifications to identify and segregate non-conforming products. The role requires proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods and the use of common inspection measuring equipment. Quality inspectors may work as receiving inspectors, final inspectors, or entry-level CMM inspectors, performing inspections for machined, purchased, or assembled products.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of quality inspection experience in a mechanical engineering environment, preferably aerospace.
  • Intermediate proficiency in shop math and GD&T comprehension and application.
  • Intermediate print reading and application skills.
  • Basic knowledge of ASME 14.5 and AS9102 standards.
  • Experience with CMM and mechanical inspection.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect products using blueprints and digital models to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming products based on inspection results.
