Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge tools tailored to the design of superconducting quantum systems and other types of qubits.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and refine Quantum EDA solutions and workflows for quantum computing applications.
  • Drive the validation and verification process of system models, ensuring accuracy and reliability in predicting qubit behavior and performance.
  • Architect and optimize computational workflows to address specific challenges inherent in superconducting qubit systems and their Hamiltonian representations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computational electromagnetics and quantum computing, actively contributing to ongoing research initiatives.
  • Be flexible and willing to work with teams in the US and Asia time zones.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • Track record of running/troubleshooting Quantum systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to tackle complex challenges in quantum computing.
  • Experience with Keysight ADS/QuantumPro or other EDA environments (e.g., CST Microwave Studio, EMPro, Ansys HFSS, COMSOL Multiphysics).
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience designing qubits, and quantum amplifiers, and integrating them into Quantum systems.
  • Strong proficiency in scientific programming in the context of developing tools for Quantum design. Preferably in Python.
  • Can research Quantum-specific topics translating things from the application side to the development.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge or experience in the Hamiltonian analysis of superconducting quantum circuits.
  • Can prototype features with scripting in Python within the ADS environment.
  • Can benchmark against published literature data.
  • Familiarity with parallel computing techniques and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
