About the position

The Radiographer position at University Hospitals involves performing a variety of radiological procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The role requires maintaining licensure, competency in imaging skills, and adherence to hospital guidelines for patient safety. Radiographers will provide care to patients of all ages and are expected to comply with policies regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates successful patient/technical imaging skills by producing a variety of radiological procedures.
  • Maintains the highest standards of patient care.
  • Follows hospital and department guidelines for patient identification and safety.
  • Maintains licensure and continuing education requirements.
  • Maintains competency skill levels for patient exam imaging.
  • Provides age-specific care to patients from neonates through geriatrics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited 2-year program in Radiologic Technology with appropriate certification.
  • Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT-R) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Licensed by the state of Ohio.
  • Clear knowledge of x-ray equipment (digital/analog), image printers, computers, PACS, and radiology information systems.
  • Effective organizational, written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
