About the position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center - Opening in 2025! When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years! This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, The George Washington University Hospital, and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This clinical integration will establish a robust system of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general diagnostic imaging services under the direction of the Imaging Lead or Manager.
  • Demonstrate radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
  • Perform examinations in a proficient, courteous, and professional manner to promote the services offered at the facility.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license.
  • Minimum Two (2) years' experience as a registered Radiology Technologist required, acute care experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements.
  • Basic to Intermediate Skills in mathematics and ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR).
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
