About The Position

The Ready Mix Driver position at Preferred Materials involves transporting concrete to various work sites while ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle. Requirements

• Valid Class A or B driver's license with necessary endorsements.
• Current medical card or ability to obtain one.
• 1-2 years of related experience or training preferred.
• No DUI's within the last 2 years.
• Minimal moving violations.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain respectful relationships with customers and staff.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, sales tickets, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with concrete mixing and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive concrete mixer to work sites and discharge load.
• Hose down the rig to keep it clean.
• Walk on uneven and slippery surfaces at work sites and the plant.
• Unload and attach extension chutes weighing 30 to 50 pounds to the primary chute.
• Regularly lift 25-50 pounds as required.
• Oil, grease, service, and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Perform related duties such as lifting and moving transported materials.
• Adhere to company safety policies and rules at all times.
