About the position

Clean Harbors is looking for a Real Estate Portfolio Manager to join our safety-conscious team! The Manager will be responsible for providing technical, transaction-based support of the company's real estate portfolio through planning, organizing, and coordinating multiple real estate management activities between internal and external stakeholders. This position requires the individual to be onsite daily at our company headquarters in Norwell, MA. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical, transaction-based support of the company's real estate portfolio.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate multiple real estate management activities between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with management and internal customers to determine real estate requirements.
  • Analyze real estate market data and perform financial analysis of project costs.
  • Negotiate business terms and documents relating to the acquisition and disposition of leased locations.
  • Evaluate real estate assets and obligations to assist internal business partners.
  • Support the implementation of real estate and space management strategy to attain and maintain best-in-class footprint productivity.
  • Manage project level real estate broker partner relationships.
  • Participate on internal teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Participate in the development of projects, service, and capital budgets.
  • Manage internal customer expectations regarding service, quality, and cost-effectiveness and resolve conflicts as necessary.
  • Maintain and improve real estate portfolio metric analysis.
  • Perform analysis and conflict resolution related to operating lease issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related required.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of the corporate real estate area with respect to both strategic and operational issues.
  • Real estate and contract negotiation management experience.
  • Real estate experience in the areas of industrial leased property acquisitions and disposition.
  • Ability to travel 5%-10%.
