About the position

The Receptionist at BYU-Pathway Worldwide provides essential front desk support, engaging with university leadership, church officers, executives, and students. This part-time role requires a high level of customer service, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information, making it ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional public image for BYU-Pathway Worldwide, welcoming high-profile guests and visitors to the Executive Office.
  • Perform routine office tasks such as typing, filing, ordering supplies, entering data, drafting correspondence, running errands, and scheduling rooms and appointments.
  • Draft high-profile and professional correspondence and communication.
  • Complete special projects including research, data analysis, gathering information for presentations, relaying assignments, and report editing and writing.
  • Receive, screen, and place phone calls for the Executive Office.

Requirements

  • Must be a student at a CES Institution.
  • Previous office experience preferred.
  • Highly professional with mature judgment and demeanor, capable of complete discretion and confidentiality.
  • Exceptional organizational, writing, grammar, and editing skills with highest proficiency in written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Flexible, adaptable to change, and highly detail-oriented.
  • Excellent time management and proactive in prioritizing competing tasks, demands, and responsibilities.
  • Sound judgment in decision-making.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in English both in writing and conversation.
