The Recycling Operations Facility Manager II (ROFMII) plays a crucial role in overseeing the operational effectiveness and efficiency of recycling operations within the assigned facility. Reporting directly to the Recycling Operations District Manager (RODM), Recycling Operations General Manager (ROGM), or the Recycling Operations Regional General Manager (RORGM), the ROFMII is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while maintaining high standards of quality control. This position emphasizes the importance of achieving production goals and maintaining accurate material inventories, as well as coordinating the inter-yard transportation of materials. The ROFMII is also tasked with driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility, focusing on enhancing operational performance and best management practices. In addition to operational oversight, the ROFMII is responsible for monitoring equipment needs and maintenance, ensuring that all production levels are met, and forecasting monthly production in collaboration with the General Manager and the Commercial group. The role requires a strong emphasis on environmental compliance, working closely with safety and environmental engineers to uphold company policies and federal regulations. The manager will also implement and maintain a documented Quality Control program, ensuring that all materials meet internal specifications and quality standards. The position involves significant administrative responsibilities, including managing staff levels, conducting performance reviews, and collaborating with Human Resources to prepare job descriptions. The ROFMII will also support the company's internal control processes, ensuring compliance with defined policies and procedures. Given the cyclical nature of the workload, the manager must be adaptable and prepared for significant time pressures, including the possibility of working extra hours, weekends, and holidays. The role requires physical presence in active industrial environments, necessitating the ability to navigate uneven surfaces and inclement weather conditions. Overall, the ROFMII is expected to provide leadership and direction to ensure the facility operates safely, efficiently, and profitably.
