About the position

The Regional Health Information Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the functions of Clinical Information Management Services within Telecare, focusing on operational excellence in behavioral health. This role emphasizes clinical quality, workforce engagement, customer satisfaction, and financial security, ensuring that the organization delivers high-quality care while maintaining fiscal responsibility. The position requires significant travel and collaboration with various stakeholders to support regional goals and improve health information management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the functions of Clinical Information Management Services.
  • Monitor documentation quality and timeliness for programs in the region.
  • Develop and monitor performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Conduct internal audits of programs and assist in corrective action plan development.
  • Lead health information management process improvements from inception to resolution.
  • Assist in recruitment, training, and onboarding of health information technicians and coordinators.
  • Provide oversight to ensure data integrity related to clinical records.
  • Support assigned regions for quality reporting and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies governing health information and medical records.
  • Prepare reports for program and corporate committees regarding health information management.

Requirements

  • Credentialed as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
  • Minimum of six years of experience in managing behavioral health clinical records across various care levels.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Regulatory and Accreditation Requirements (e.g., HIPAA, CMS).
  • Working knowledge of external reporting requirements (e.g., HCAI, OSHPD).
  • Experience with various EHR and Hybrid Record Systems and Conversions.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 CM, CPT, HCPCS.

  • Consulting experience in health information management.
