About the position

The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a housing community portfolio, managing all phases including personnel, leasing, maintenance, financial, administration, and risk management. This role requires effective leadership to ensure compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and liability concerns while driving operational excellence and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire operations of a housing community portfolio.
  • Manage personnel including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Achieve the highest possible net operating income through effective cost control and revenue improvement.
  • Develop yearly operating budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide monthly evaluations of income and expense line items that are significantly over budget.
  • Develop yearly marketing plans and strategies to generate rentals or rent increases.
  • Ensure effective leasing techniques and resident satisfaction.
  • Manage administrative reporting and ensure timely submission of reports.
  • Assist with emergency response and property management during emergencies.
  • Maintain property appearance and ensure timely repairs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred or four years experience in the housing industry.
  • Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
  • Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required.
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
