About the position

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving the company's sales objectives across all regions in the country. This managerial role involves supervising the sales team, developing effective sales strategies, and maintaining relationships with key accounts both domestically and internationally. The position requires frequent travel to meet with sales departments and attend conferences and trade shows.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with all key accounts domestically and internationally
  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers domestically and internationally
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients' needs
  • Complete and approve all vendor agreements
  • Stay up to date on customer/vendor compliances and ensure implementation during the sales and shipping process
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
  • Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are informed
  • Assist the General Manager and Engineers in the design, development, and quality of new products
  • Assist in running background checks, reference requests, and new account approvals
  • Assist in the collections of past due accounts according to customers' approved terms
  • Prepare Purchase Requisitions for inventory replenishment on all MOH's, back orders, new products, etc.
  • Organize and manage all tradeshow booths, pricing, contracts, and logistics aspects of the tradeshow process.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of sales experience
  • 10+ years of managerial experience
  • Experience in sporting goods sales, preferably in Archery
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Manager within the industry is a plus
  • Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales, exceed targets, and drive business growth
  • Solid customer service attitude to establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
  • Strong communication and team management skills
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to coach sales reps to higher performance
  • Ability to accurately forecast future sales volumes
  • Ability to analyze, establish and execute a pre-sales strategy
  • Skilled at building rapport and understanding business requirements of senior decision makers
  • Skilled at providing market recommendations and customer feedback to the executive team
  • Ability to manage, optimize and identify opportunities with partners, members, process enhancement and program growth
  • 4-Year degree is a plus but not required
  • Availability to travel as needed
