About the position

The Regional Sales Manager at The Gill Corporation is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth within assigned regions by identifying and developing sales opportunities for existing and new products. This role involves building relationships with key industry contacts, leading customer satisfaction initiatives, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve sales targets. The position requires a strong technical understanding of composites technologies and the ability to manage customer inquiries, proposals, and negotiations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed profitable revenue growth targets within assigned regions.
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities for existing products and new technologies.
  • Drive customer satisfaction initiatives and strategic planning activities.
  • Establish multi-level relationships with industry contacts, including decision makers and influencers.
  • Achieve growth targets through collaboration with sales personnel and other company staff.
  • Support marketing activities for Commercial, Aerospace, and Military customers.
  • Lead activities to resolve escalated customer issues and ensure satisfaction.
  • Utilize Salesforce and other sales tools to analyze market events and customer changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and project statuses.
  • Create account and market plans to support corporate goals.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in direct sales for aerospace customers with a US-based aerospace products manufacturer.
  • Understanding of CNC machining operations for composite and metallic materials.
  • Existing business relationships with key aerospace OEMs and sub-tier suppliers.
  • Experience with cost and pricing models and regional sales management.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English with strong technical writing skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, SAP, and SharePoint is beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or science preferred.
  • 10 years of relevant aerospace experience managing a sales team.

  • Experience in the composites industry preferred.
  • Technical sales experience with aerospace products.
  • Knowledge of ITAR and EAR compliance requirements.
