Regional Service Director

About the position

The Regional Service Director is a “hands on” position that directs, manages, and audits the operations of multiple operating company branches. The position is responsible for ensuring organizational safety guidelines are in place and that transaction quality, inventory accuracy, facility maintenance, and productivity is achieving required standards. This position also assists Branch Managers in gaining alignment and coordination with Functional Support Departments to drive over-all efficiency and profitability. Will cover branches in Oklahoma, Little Rock, AR and Dallas/Fort Worth.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain the operations of all branches within the specified territory, through adequate training, inspecting, and taking corrective action to accomplish company goals, objectives and to foster a safe work environment.
• Direct and manage facility operations by updating, implementing, and auditing company approved Standard Operating Procedures.
• Develops and mentors Branch personnel for advancement within the organization.
• Measure performance using metrics against pre-defined goals in areas such as safety, transaction accuracy, inventory accuracy, pricing compliance, equipment inspection and Preventative Maintenance (PM).
• Works collaboratively with Branch Managers to ensure alignment and coordination with functional support departments to insure sales growth, continuity of the supply chain, and financial accounting integrity.
• Coordinate facility activities and functions to ensure defined customer service and transaction accuracy metrics are achieved.
• Oversees the development of growth plans and the annual budget.
• Ensures accurate and current data files are maintained for SKU’s including pricing, stocking levels and re-order logic.
• Perform or over-see all administrative duties including, but not limited to facility and equipment maintenance and repair, OSHA requirements, safety training, control of fuel and P-card purchases.
• Oversee the management of equipment and capital asset maintenance.
• Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses, but while maintaining safety standards.
• Travel is between 25%-50% depending on geographic make-up of the territory.

Requirements

• Experience in Operations Management in a distribution center environment.
• P&L (Profit & Loss) Management Proficiency in Excel and related computer skills.
• Industry related experience, which may include, but is not limited to distribution, and transportation experience.
• Strong belief in the importance of safety, standard processes, and high attention to detail.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills, with the ability to efficiently problem solve and analyze data.
• Strong leadership skills, previous experience managing a team.
• Must be willing and able to complete overnight business travel at least 20%-35% of the time or more.
