About the position

At Tufts Medicine, we are dedicated to saving lives, building careers, and reimagining healthcare. This role is primarily located at our Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where we provide urgent care services that are distinct from others. Our urgent care is staffed by emergency medicine professionals and is supported by the extensive resources of a comprehensive health system. This includes direct or teleconferencing access to emergency department physicians when necessary. Our Urgent Care in Medford operates seven days a week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, catering to patients of all ages, from children to adults. The facility is staffed by the same highly skilled providers who treat patients at the MelroseWakefield Emergency Department. We are open from 7 am to 11 pm, with patient registration closing at 10:30 pm, and we operate on an appointment-only basis. We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) with a Massachusetts license, an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required, while a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. A minimum of two years of experience working as an RN is strongly preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are strongly preferred, with the latter being required upon hire. The position requires a commitment of 32 hours per week, with every other weekend required. At Tufts Medicine, we offer competitive salaries and benefits that start on day one, including a 403(b) retirement plan with company match, tuition reimbursement, and free on-campus parking. Our commitment to community health is demonstrated through over 40 local health programs and partnerships with community agencies to support the wellness of our residents.
