About the position

MedUS Healthcare is actively seeking a travel nurse RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to fill a travel nursing role. This position is designed for registered nurses who are looking to take on a travel assignment in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care while adapting to various healthcare settings. As a travel nurse, you will be responsible for managing patient care in the Progressive Care Unit, which involves monitoring patients who require a higher level of care than those in a standard medical-surgical unit but do not require intensive care. The travel nurse will work 12-hour night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week, over a duration of 13 weeks. This position offers guaranteed hours, ensuring that you have a stable work schedule during your assignment. Candidates should possess essential certifications such as ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIH (National Institutes of Health) stroke scale certification. Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and the administration of IV medications is crucial for success in this role. This includes managing PICC lines, performing dressing changes, and administering medications such as antibiotics and drips including heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and cardizem. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
