Registered Nurse

About the position

The Registered Nurse at the Endo Surgical Center of Florida is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various roles including admitting, assisting during procedures, and post-procedure recovery. The nurse will ensure patient safety, maintain medical equipment, and support patients emotionally throughout their experience. This position requires collaboration with physicians and other staff, as well as participation in quality management projects.

Responsibilities

• Admitting patients and performing pre-procedure assessments.
• Assisting physicians during endoscopic procedures.
• Monitoring patients during procedures and providing emotional support.
• Recovering patients post-procedure and ensuring discharge criteria are met.
• Maintaining emergency equipment and inventorying medications.
• Documenting patient information accurately and communicating with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Current Florida RN license.
• BLS Certification and ACLS Certification (or willingness to obtain ACLS certification).
• Previous experience in an admitting, procedure, or recovery role in an ambulatory setting, preferably in a GI setting.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying supplies.

Nice-to-haves

• Spanish language proficiency.
• 1 year of experience in Endoscopy/OR/hospital setting.
