About the position

The Reliability Engineering Coordinator at Honda plays a crucial role in enhancing equipment performance across all departments at the TMP-OH Site. This position is centered around leading and supporting initiatives aimed at improving equipment characteristics, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. The coordinator will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating equipment failures and inefficiencies, developing and implementing effective countermeasures, and measuring their success. A key aspect of this role involves identifying hidden equipment failures and establishing preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to mitigate future issues. In addition to equipment expertise, the Reliability Engineering Coordinator will engage in project management activities. This includes defining and creating the scope for design and construction projects, whether for renovations, upgrades, or new systems. The coordinator will focus on cost control and will be expected to conduct Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycles during the design and implementation phases. They will also review and approve engineering drawings for new equipment and participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) during the design phase to ensure reliability and efficiency. The role also encompasses the use of new technologies to support Honda's direction in manufacturing. The coordinator will implement asset condition management tools and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions to enhance operational efficiency. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement, aligning with Honda's vision of innovation and excellence in manufacturing.
