About the position

The Reliability Hardware Engineer (Aviation) position is a contract role focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of hardware products in the aviation sector. The engineer will lead a multidisciplinary team in qualification testing, prepare test plans and reports, and ensure compliance with safety and reliability standards. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare qualification test plans, procedures, and reports in accordance with company standards and contract requirements.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team to support qualification software testing and achieve objectives within cost and schedule.
• Conduct, monitor, and witness qualification/verification and acceptance testing for internal products and vendor-supplied products.
• Ensure that all requirements of product specifications are successfully met.
• Participate in the preparation of safety, reliability, and maintainability analysis.
• Review contract requirements and product specifications, evaluate risks, and provide cost estimates and schedules for qualifying developmental items.
• Support internal and external quality audits.
• Participate in process improvements.
• Prepare production test and inspection plans.
• Support failure analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Participate in technical reviews with the company, customers, and vendors.
• Communicate with customers and vendors to ensure all qualification testing activities and requirements are satisfactorily conducted.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in hardware quality engineering or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience in Aerospace/Avionics.
