About the position

The Reliability Hardware Engineer position focuses on ensuring the safety, reliability, and maintainability of hardware in the aviation or aerospace sector. The role involves leading a multidisciplinary team in qualification testing, preparing test plans, and conducting thorough analyses to meet product specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare qualification test plans, procedures, and reports in accordance with company standards and contract requirements.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team to support qualification software testing and achieve objectives within cost and schedule.
• Conduct, monitor, and witness qualification/verification and acceptance testing for internal products and vendor-supplied products.
• Ensure that all requirements of product specifications are successfully met.
• Participate in the preparation of safety, reliability, and maintainability analysis.
• Review contract requirements and product specifications, evaluate risks, and provide cost estimates and schedules for qualifying developmental items according to RTCA and military standards.
• Support internal and external quality audits.
• Participate in process improvements.
• Prepare production test and inspection plans.
• Support failure analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Participate in technical reviews with the company, customers, and vendors.
• Communicate with customers and vendors to ensure all qualification testing activities and requirements are satisfactorily conducted.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a relevant field.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience in Aerospace or Avionics.
