As a Relief Veterinarian at PetIQ Veterinarian, you will get the satisfaction of providing care for pets without the pressures of a full-service veterinary environment. The PetIQ Relief Veterinarian's primary purpose is to provide high-quality preventive care and client education. As a Relief Veterinarian you will be responsible for delivering preventive care at our weekday or weekend Community Clinics, ensuring that PetIQ procedures are followed to maintain our reputation as a leader in quality affordable preventative healthcare for our pet parents.

Responsibilities

• On site Veterinarian care for our weekday and weekend community clinics
• Perform brief medical exam, including vitals
• Administer vaccines, limited diagnostic testing, microchipping, nail trim
• Educate pet parents on preventative healthcare & products
• Updating of electronic medical records
• Clearly deliver and perform up to PetIQ medical standards & best practices
• Strengthen PetIQ brand

Requirements

• Must be licensed DVM in the state looking to work in
• Liability insurance 1M per occurrence /2M for aggregate
• Ability to drive self to variety of locations
• Weekend availability
• Ability to use Apple iPad

Nice-to-haves

• Strong knowledge of vaccine protocols, intestinal parasite prevention, heartworm prevention and disease in both cats and dogs, heartworm and flea preventatives, and prescription products
• Possesses excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ensuring accurate and reliable services

• Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates positive conduct
