About the position

The Benefits and Leave Coordinator is a pivotal role within HR Works' HR Administration Services team, primarily focused on providing comprehensive benefits and leave administration services for designated clients. This part-time position is based out of Fairport, NY, but offers the flexibility of remote work. The role requires availability until 7 pm EST, Monday through Friday, with preferred working hours from 3 pm to 7 pm. The coordinator will be responsible for managing inquiries from employees of HR Works' clients across the United States, addressing a variety of questions related to benefits and leave, including but not limited to FMLA, paid family leave, state-specific leaves, company-specific leaves, COBRA, and claims status. In addition to responding to inquiries, the Benefits and Leave Coordinator will also handle the completion of benefits and leave administration paperwork on behalf of clients. This includes generating and sending leave packages, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations. The role is essential in maintaining effective communication between HR Works and its clients, ensuring that employees receive timely and accurate information regarding their benefits and leave options. The position also requires the ability to report to the Rochester, NY office for training and periodic meetings, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide benefits and leave administration services for designated clients.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees regarding benefits and leave questions.
  • Handle escalations related to FMLA, paid family leave, and state-specific leaves.
  • Complete benefits and leave administration paperwork for clients.
  • Generate and send leave packages to employees as needed.
  • Cover extended hours on the call center queue.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of benefits and leave administration experience.
  • 2+ years of HRIS experience (ADP, Workday, Paychex, Paylocity, Paycom, Ceridian, UKG).
  • Ability to report to the Rochester, NY office for training and team-building activities.
