About the position

The Senior Business Analyst position at Coca-Cola serves as a critical liaison between the executive team, the IT/Business Intelligence Scrum Team, and various technology solution providers. This role is pivotal in leveraging data extrapolated by the IT team while overseeing the selection and implementation of business needs into Business Intelligence (BI) solutions. The analyst will be responsible for delivering design documents as part of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which includes requirement gathering and analysis, design, testing, deployment, and ongoing support maintenance. In this position, the analyst will build strong relationships with business clients and the Product Owner, acting as a bridge between the business community and the technical team. They will assist the Product Owner in determining the value and priority of competing projects across multiple business functions, which is essential for creating effective roadmaps and timelines. The analyst will also analyze change requests to assess their feasibility concerning existing business requirements and processes, ensuring that the solutions align with strategic initiatives. The role requires the analyst to interface with developers and vendors to ascertain whether business and technical requirements can be met. They will identify any missing requirements based on their experience and business goals, ensuring thorough documentation and transition for ongoing system support. Additionally, the analyst will collaborate with business partners to develop acceptance criteria and test cases, which are crucial for creating comprehensive test plans and performing necessary application testing. Maintaining all documentation related to business and technical application requirements, report requirements, and support documentation is also a key responsibility. The analyst will document data requirements, identify source systems involved, and perform data profiling to assist in determining project feasibility. Other projects or duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver design documents as part of SDLC (requirement gathering and analysis, design, testing, deployment and plan support maintenance)
  • Build relationships with business clients along with the Product Owner and act as a liaison between the business community and technical team

  • Interface with developers and vendors to understand whether we can meet business and technical requirements
  • Anticipate the needs of the business and align solutions to strategic initiatives
  • Identify missing requirements based on experience and business goals
  • Ensure transition and documentation for ongoing system support
  • Work with business partners to develop acceptance criteria/test cases in order to develop comprehensive test plan and perform needed application testing
  • Maintain all documentation, including business and technical application requirements, report requirements, and support documentation
  • Document data requirements, source systems involved, and perform data profiling to assist in determining project feasibility
  • Other projects or duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related
  • 3+ years of general IT experience
  • 2+ years as a business, technical or systems analyst
  • Strong understanding of Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing concepts with knowledge of ETL and Reporting tools
  • Moderate SQL skills
  • Moderate data profiling skills
  • Strong at developing test cases
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Must pass a post-offer background and drug test
  • Highly organized, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing space with tools like Azure, ADF, Snowflake, and Power BI
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of multiple development methodologies, preferably Agile
  • Ability to bridge communications on complex needs and requirements between technical and business-oriented audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, facilitate, and recap meetings with good attention to detail
