About the position

The District Sales Manager (Outside Sales) position is a full-time remote role focused on developing and pursuing sales opportunities within the Michigan, Ohio, Midwest, and West territories. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience in industrial equipment and storage solutions to manage a geographical sales territory, build strategic alliances, and present value propositions to key decision-makers. This role requires a self-motivated sales leader who is ready to contribute to a company with over 100 years of innovation in space utilization solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a geographical sales territory
  • Report sales activities to the VP of Sales
  • Present value propositions to key decision-makers
  • Develop strategic alliances with end-user customers and distributor partners
  • Conduct field sales work, including site visits and solution development
  • Analyze sales statistics to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies
  • Build new partnerships with potential clients
  • Travel up to 70% within the territory

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of proven success in outside sales
  • Experience in Storage Solutions or Material Handling
  • Experience with distribution channel management
  • Proficiency with CRM Systems (SalesForce), Microsoft Office, and social media (LinkedIn)
  • Knowledge of drawing software (SketchUp or CAD) is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and develop strong client relationships
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time
