About the position

Tetra Tech is seeking experienced leaders to serve as Renewable Energy Senior Project Managers and Seller/Doers to grow our renewable practice and support various projects from concept to completion. This role involves developing client relationships, responding to opportunities, and collaborating with multiple resources to execute projects in a dynamic consulting environment. The ideal candidates will have a strong technical background in renewable energy projects, particularly in solar PV and battery energy storage systems, and will be responsible for business development and strategic growth within Tetra Tech's Energy Program.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture client relationships in the renewable energy sector.
  • Respond to client opportunities and support project execution across various renewable project types.
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities, including proposal development and client meetings.
  • Identify trends and develop a long-term view of the renewable energy industry and client base.
  • Innovate and enhance Tetra Tech's capabilities to improve competitive advantage in the market.
  • Manage technical projects and engage with clients to identify new work opportunities.
  • Develop a team of multi-discipline staff through coaching and mentoring.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Lead and support the development of engineering technical standards and educational materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in account management, business development, and regulatory compliance in the renewable energy sector.
  • Existing client relationships in solar PV and battery energy storage markets.
  • Working knowledge of planning, permitting, design, and construction related to renewable energy facilities.
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills to build and manage project teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Experience in wind energy and transmission projects.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Experience preparing and submitting budget proposals.
