About the position

Holt of California is seeking a Rental Coordinator to join our team in Vacaville, CA. This position plays a crucial role in assisting with the rental of equipment and supporting sales representatives throughout the entire rental cycle. The Rental Coordinator will be responsible for dispatching One Ton Drivers for deliveries and pickups, managing fleet operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to handle customer inquiries, manage paperwork related to equipment rentals, and coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Rental Coordinator, you will take customer calls and process sales requests for rental equipment. You will handle all associated paperwork, including coordinating shop work, delivery schedules, and generating agreements and invoices. Additionally, you will manage the logistics of rental, used, and demo hauling through central dispatch, work with the credit department for customer credit authorizations, and collaborate with the rental utility/yard technician on equipment check-outs and check-ins. You will also assist the Rental Manager with special projects, asset management, and inventory control, including conducting physical inventories for yard and shop areas. Other duties may be assigned as needed. This position requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will be interacting with customers, managers, and team members regularly. You should be comfortable reading and interpreting business documents and have the ability to present information effectively. Basic mathematical skills are necessary for calculating figures such as discounts and commissions. Familiarity with material handling equipment is a plus, but not mandatory. The role also involves physical demands, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with renting equipment and support sales representatives throughout the rental cycle.

Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business documents and technical procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and keyboard proficiency.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of material handling equipment is helpful but not mandatory.
