About The Position

The Rental Sales Representative at Altorfer CAT is responsible for achieving sales and revenue goals by engaging with customers at project sites and corporate offices. This role involves identifying opportunities, developing solutions, and presenting proposals that highlight the benefits of Altorfer Power Rental's offerings, particularly in the rental of generators, temperature control equipment, and large industrial compressors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Generator and electrical equipment technical knowledge preferable.
  • Experience in the industrial, electrical/utility, or construction industry in sales or project management is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Aggressive outgoing sales approach with experience in relationship building.
  • Ability to respond to customer and team member calls timely and with urgency.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to cold call new customers.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities.
  • Self-starter capable of developing and executing a sales plan.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the industrial industry, electrical/utility industry, or construction industry.
  • Technical knowledge of generators and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Generate profitable business from rental sales of generators, air compressors, and temperature control applications.
  • Establish new accounts through phone calls and in-person visits to potential customers.
  • Present turnkey services to prospective customers.
  • Work with technical staff to provide customers with job site assessments, application solutions, and plans.
  • Make formal sales presentations to customer decision makers.
  • Educate customers on equipment through demonstrations and personal training sessions.
  • Assist the operations staff by following up with customers on invoices and payments.
  • Report sales activity on new accounts, existing accounts, revenue, utilization, calls, etc.
  • Work closely with the CAT Dealer network to rerent needed equipment.
  • Coordinate job setups, freight, on-site PM services, and field repairs with operations staff.
