About the position

The Research Associate II position at the University of Memphis involves managing day-to-day operations of research projects within the Center for Research Education Policy. The role requires collaboration with principal investigators and other research faculty to execute multiple research activities, including data collection and analysis, project management, and reporting outcomes to sponsors and clients. This position is grant-funded and contingent upon funding availability, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in K-12 education settings.

Responsibilities

  • Leads day-to-day operations of research projects and collaborates with Research Faculty and PI's in the execution of research plans and activities, including communications with sponsors and reporting.
  • Assists in research design, implementation, and reporting.
  • Collects and analyzes qualitative and quantitative research data to determine outcomes for reporting and publishing.
  • Assists in researching funding sources and preparing client proposals (e.g., federal, state, local, foundation).
  • Supervises research teams, including Graduate Assistants.
  • Other duties as assigned (e.g., literature reviews, briefs).

Requirements

  • Master's degree in relevant area and 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products.

Nice-to-haves

  • PhD in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with or in K-12 schools.
