Disease in these populations poses serious risks to food safety, has economic implications, and, in cases where the disease is communicable to humans, is a significant public health hazard. Essential Job Duties The Research Associate will contribute to advancing studies in lung inflammation and disease biology by leveraging cutting-edge bioinformatics and experimental techniques. This role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and the application of modern research methodologies to uncover meaningful insights into complex biological processes. The position offers an opportunity to work on impactful projects in a supportive and collaborative research environment. What You'll Do: As a Research Associate, you'll play a vital role in conducting and analyzing groundbreaking research. Your responsibilities will include: Investigating animal models of lung inflammation and employing single-cell RNA sequencing approaches. Performing laboratory techniques such as cell culture, western blotting, genotyping, RT-PCR, immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry, cytokine estimation, and confocal microscopy. Conducting rodent handling and survival surgeries. Analyzing NGS (next-generation sequencing) and multiomics data to derive meaningful insights. Maintain and update datasets, bioinformatics pipelines and workflows to ensure efficient data processing and analysis.
