About the position
The Senior Research Associate position at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is part of the Moats Laboratory within the Saban Research Institute. This role focuses on developing, validating, and implementing new diagnostic testing that directly impacts patient care. The Senior Research Associate will be the primary expert in analytic test equipment and methods for research and development, and is expected to prepare, develop, present, and publish research findings in clinical journals.
Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and implement new diagnostic testing.
- Serve as the primary expert in analytic test equipment and methods for research and development.
- Prepare, develop, present, and publish research findings in related clinical journals.
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience with mass spectrometry, especially LC/MS/MS.
- Experience with next generation RNA/DNA sequencing (NGS) or other highly specialized laboratory equipment and related techniques.
- Management experience in a team environment.
- Immunology experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with cancer and animal models of disease is preferred.
- M.D. with specialty in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field with specific knowledge in Mass Spectrometry.
