Research Scientist

About the position

Xavier University of Louisiana is accepting applications for the position of Research Scientist. Located in the Department of Chemistry, the position will conduct pharmacological studies in the Cancer Drug Discovery area. The responsibilities of the position include design and implementation of in vitro and in vivo efficacy studies, pharmacokinetic, and xenograft tumor transplant experiments.

Responsibilities

• Performing in vitro and in vivo biological studies on newly developed biologically active compounds
• Training and supervising undergraduate research students
• Presenting results
• Drafting research manuscripts

Requirements

• A PhD in a Biological field or DVM
• At least 3 years of research experience in the area
