About The Position

The Residency Program Coordinator 2 at Augusta University is responsible for managing and overseeing the administrative support functions for multiple medical fellowships, including Pediatric Emergency Medicine, EMS, Ultrasound, International Medicine, and Wilderness Medicine. This role involves supervising the Residency Program Specialist, coordinating recruitment activities, ensuring program compliance with accreditation standards, and providing administrative support to faculty and fellows. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage various administrative tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 4 years of professional or administrative experience, including a minimum of 2 years in educational program experience, OR
  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and 7 years of professional or administrative experience, including a minimum of 4 years in educational program experience, OR
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent from a recognized state or federal accredited organization and 10 years of professional or administrative experience, including a minimum of 6 years in educational program experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
  • Ability to learn PeopleSoft, multi-task, and work independently.
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, planning, and coordination of five fellowships: Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship, EMS Fellowship, Ultrasound Fellowship, International Medicine Fellowship, and Wilderness Medicine Fellowship.
  • Develop, organize, and direct recruitment activities, including identifying eligible participants and coordinating travel for interviews and educational trips.
  • Administer and manage policy implementation for educational programs, ensuring compliance with credentialing and licensure requirements.
  • Ensure program accreditation by monitoring compliance with ACGME, RRC, GME, and HIPAA standards.
  • Develop program management systems, including curriculum and lecture scheduling, and coordinate annual educational program events.
  • Supervise the Residency Program Specialist and manage educational program budgets and expenditures.
  • Manage participant evaluation systems, including grade reporting and file maintenance, and oversee educational exams.
  • Provide administrative support to the Section Chief and faculty, maintaining support for clinical sections and educational programs.
  • Coordinate and manage Pediatric Emergency Medicine conferences and courses.
