About the position

The Resilience Organization Change Management and Communications Specialist, Senior role is designed to help communities recover more effectively from natural disasters by providing expert consulting services. This position requires a deep understanding of organizational change management and the ability to analyze complex operational environments. As a consultant, you will engage with clients to assess their needs and develop tailored strategies that promote resilience and facilitate transformational changes within their organizations. Your work will involve stakeholder analysis, change management planning, and strategic communications to ensure that organizations can successfully adopt and implement necessary changes. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting customized action plans that consider the unique challenges and opportunities faced by each client. You will leverage your knowledge of change management methodologies, such as Prosci or LaMarsh, to guide organizations through their transformation journeys. Your expertise in traditional and social marketing techniques will be essential for engaging stakeholders and communicating effectively with diverse audiences. As a project manager, you will oversee client expectations, lead teams, and identify opportunities for expanding services to existing clients throughout the change life cycle. This position is not just about managing change; it’s about leading it. You will play a crucial role in shaping how organizations envision and implement their missions, ensuring that they are equipped to respond to the challenges posed by disasters and other resilience-related issues. Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to analyze their operational environments and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop customized change management strategies and action plans tailored to client needs.

  • Manage client expectations and lead project teams to ensure successful delivery of services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in large scale transformation efforts in government related to resilience, disaster management, or sustainability.
  • Experience managing and inspiring a team to achieve peak performance.
  • Proven ability to facilitate discussions with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of change management methodologies and tools such as Prosci or LaMarsh.
  • Familiarity with traditional and social marketing techniques for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to develop data-driven communications and messaging strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
