About the position
Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center, opening in early 2025, will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in over 20 years. This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, including The George Washington University Hospital and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. The facility will feature 136 beds (expandable to 184), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery services, an ambulatory pavilion, a community space, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transports. We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist Supervisor (Full Time-Nights) to oversee the respiratory therapy department 24/7, in collaboration with the Director of Respiratory. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, staff management, task assignments, and monitoring patient progress while upholding compliance with clinical standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the respiratory therapy department 24/7.
- Manage daily operations and ensure high-quality patient care.
- Provide effective staff management and task assignments.
- Monitor patient progress and uphold compliance with clinical standards.
- Provide leadership and clinical expertise to the team of respiratory therapists.
Requirements
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Graduation from an approved two-year respiratory therapist program.
- 5 years of professional experience demonstrating a progressive leadership background.
- Minimum of CRT with registry eligible.
- Goal in place to obtain registry status by the NBRC.
