About the position
The Respiratory Therapist at Mark Twain Medical Center is responsible for providing optimal respiratory care to patients of all ages under the supervision of a medical director and attending physician. This role emphasizes the importance of understanding and participating in the organization's mission and core values, which include dignity, collaboration, justice, stewardship, and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provides optimum respiratory care for all patients.
- Works under the direct supervision of a hospital appointed medical director.
- Follows direct orders of the attending physician.
- Treats and cares for patients of all ages.
- Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Core Values of the organization.
Requirements
- Must have at least one year of experience as a Respiratory Care Board Therapist.
- Graduate of a respiratory therapy program approved by the National Board of Respiratory Care or equivalent education.
- Must hold a Respiratory Care Board of California license.
- CPR, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required.
- Must be certified with the American Heart Association to provide emergency cardiac care.
- Must be licensed by the state of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
