About the position

As a Counter Manager in the Macy's Cosmetics Department, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of a cosmetics line. This includes coaching and leading a team of skilled Beauty Advisors, ensuring they are equipped to provide exceptional customer service and meet sales targets. Your responsibilities will involve engaging with customers to understand their beauty and style preferences, enhancing your creativity through consultations, and applying makeup and products to help customers achieve their desired looks. You will work closely with vendors to optimize business outcomes and manage vendor events and promotions, ensuring they are executed effectively. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in cosmetics or retail management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively, providing guidance and support.
  • Proficiency in vendor line(s) and beauty trends.
  • Capability to utilize metrics and analyze detailed reporting to develop action plans.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to address business challenges.
  • Careful attention to detail in handling daily tasks and examining reports.
