About The Position

The Retail Donation Attendant is responsible for accepting and processing donated goods in a friendly and efficient manner. This part-time position involves sorting donations, maintaining cleanliness in donation areas, and assisting with general store operations. The role requires interaction with the public and teamwork to ensure a positive experience for donors and customers alike.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a work or educational setting demonstrating the ability to interact positively with the public or team.
• Proficiency in basic math and ability to read and write.
• Ability to operate computerized equipment, tablets, and receipt printers.
• Ability to use material handling equipment such as pushcarts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer service experience dealing with the public is preferred.
• Ability to meet production quotas.

Responsibilities

• Accept donated goods from donors in a friendly and courteous manner and provide receipts.
• Sort donations according to set guidelines and track goods received.
• Use material handling equipment to move, transport, and sort donations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of interior and exterior donation areas.
• Properly load and unload company trucks and trailers.
• Assist with general cleaning functions of the store and perform other duties as assigned.
