About the position

As a Retail Front End Supervisor at Burlington, you will play a crucial role in the store leadership team, collaborating closely with Store Management across various functions including Merchandising, Customer Service, Operations, and Human Resources. You will also promote a safe environment for both customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines and fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration. As a leader, you will be expected to solve issues and concerns, make informed decisions, and supervise front-end operations to guarantee that all Burlington customers receive exceptional, friendly, and professional service at all times. In addition to these responsibilities, you will reinforce our Asset Protection strategies to minimize loss, assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new associates, and participate in weekly workload planning meetings. You will also drive community relations participation through company programs and partnerships, coordinate meal and break periods, and monitor schedule adherence. This role is ideal for self-starters who understand the importance of building strong teams and partnerships to drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all store functions and associates while in the role of Manager on Duty
  • Maximize sales results through training, developing, and coaching of direct reports

  • Solve issues/concerns, making informed decisions and supervising front-end operations to ensure exceptional customer service

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience within an off-price, big box, or specialty environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging attitude
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Ability to move/handle/lift store merchandise weighing 40 lbs. or more
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
