About the position

The Merchandising & Inventory Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring effective sales floor merchandising, inventory management, and customer service. This position involves collaborating with team members to create a welcoming retail environment while executing various operational tasks. The supervisor will also coach and lead team members, ensuring adherence to merchandising standards and efficient inventory controls.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and efficient inventory controls including Zero Balance, Return to Vendor, Return to Warehouse, Cross Channel Returns, and Reserve online pick up in store.
• Execute all product activities including truck unloading, sorting, stocking, and maintaining stock levels.
• Execute Weekly Planograms and seasonal promo merchandising changeover.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and engage with customers to understand their needs.
• Maintain a neat and clean store environment to provide an inviting atmosphere for customers.
• Perform front end responsibilities such as cashier duties, handling returns, and managing online reservations.
• Provide store leadership when scheduled as the 'Manager on Duty'.
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Able to work a flexible schedule based on the store's needs.
• Clear understanding of merchandising and retail operations.
• Experience managing and coaching a team and/or supervising others.
• Ability to engage and speak to customers effectively.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and multitask with limited supervision.
• Ability to lift, push or pull materials in the 100-pound range, climb ladders, and stand/walk continuously.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
