About the position

As a Retail Sales Travel Specialist at Staples, you will provide exceptional customer service and solutions in retail stores, focusing on travel-related products and services. Your role will involve assisting customers with TSA Precheck, passport photo solutions, and other identity-related services, while also engaging them with travel supplies and luggage. You will be trained to support various store functions during the onboarding period, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Travel Government or TSA-related consumer sales for identity-related products and services.
• Engage customers around comprehensive travel solutions including product sales (i.e. luggage).
• Greet all customers and provide a professional and welcoming experience.
• Engage customers and present products & solutions that drive sales with our customer's needs in mind.
• Verify customer identity, scan required documents into database system, take passport photos.
• Complete customer fingerprint images, biometric & data capture processes and paperwork.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot issues with fingerprinting and retail equipment.
• Be flexible to perform other duties as assigned or needed in the store.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older and a U.S. citizen.
• Able to work a flexible schedule (including evenings and/or weekends).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to operate a keyboard, photocopier, and other office equipment.
• 1+ years of customer service-related experience.
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range, climb ladders, stand, and walk continuously.
