About the position
The position operates a customer service window to provide customers with quality service on a variety of transactions. The role includes providing technical direction and training for other customer service representatives. The employee is expected to demonstrate competencies in bank operations and maintain a high level of accuracy and balancing skills. The position requires knowledge of Consumer Bank Customer Service Expectations and the ability to offer exceptional customer service as outlined by Branch Management. The employee will utilize various computer systems to identify customers, verify transactions, and protect against fraud while processing deposits, withdrawals, and other banking services.
Responsibilities
- Completion of the New to S&T RSS Job Family Plan as scheduled by Retail Training in conjunction with Retail Operations.
- Maintain a balancing rate of 85% in accordance with Retail Policies and Procedure manual.
- Provide exceptional customer service as outlined by Branch Management.
- Utilize Customer Service Information Inquiry Computer Systems to operate a customer service window efficiently and accurately.
- Identify customers and verify authenticity of transactions to protect against fraud.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, and various loan payments.
- Balance cash window daily and ensure completion of ATM and Vault balancing.
- Support staff with Retail Services Supervisor and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Promote the bank's services and identify customer needs for additional services.
- Perform duties in support of branch operations, including monthly reports and reconcilements.
- Maintain good working relationships with bank employees in other departments.
- Attend and complete training on Customer Service Information Inquiry Computer Systems and regulatory knowledge.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized training or a two-year degree.
- Two to five years of general and specialized experience, specifically in preparing balance reports.
- Successful completion of the retail training program.
