About the position

The Revenue Analyst position at the City of Boise involves preparing complex financial and statistical analyses to support the Public Works utilities. Responsibilities

• Prepare complex financial and statistical data analysis for Public Works utilities.
• Develop, monitor, and implement financial strategies for the utilities.
• Manage and report data using reporting technologies for internal and external users.
• Conduct advanced financial research and analysis of multiple funding sources and budgets.
• Develop and maintain complex financial and analytical models for strategic planning decisions.
• Prepare presentations for the Public Works Commission and City Council.
• Consult with department managers to identify trends impacting finances.
• Collaborate with other city departments to gather necessary data for analysis.
• Create innovative reporting tools to improve data dissemination.
• Develop dashboards for real-time data visualization and analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in financial and business analysis, accounting, economics, or public utility administration.
• Knowledge of financial and business analysis, dashboard reporting, and advanced spreadsheet capabilities.
• Ability to critically evaluate and improve financial analysis and reporting processes.
• Experience in creating clear reporting tools and dashboards.
• Advanced user of MS Office suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years of progressive experience in advanced financial and business analysis or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in improving financial analysis and creating dashboards.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and database platforms.
