About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst at Family Health West plays a crucial role in supporting the organization throughout the entire revenue cycle process, from scheduling and registration to insurance processing and final billing. This position requires a strong understanding of insurance and billing processes, as well as the ability to troubleshoot issues and provide support for electronic health record (EHR) systems. The analyst will work closely with the I.T. and Informatics Team to ensure efficient revenue cycle operations and will be responsible for training end-users and developing workflows that meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support the organization throughout the entire revenue cycle process from scheduling and registration through insurance process and final billing.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of insurance and billing processes to troubleshoot issues as necessary.
  • Provide support, maintenance, and system configuration for facility structure, charge master, billing, registration, scheduling, reporting, and claims in EHR systems.
  • Assist with application implementation and system customization including the development of charges, codes, insurances, and adherence to workflows.
  • Work within the I.T. and Informatics Team to support the EHR, particularly in Revenue Cycle processes.
  • Support end-user revenue cycle training programs.
  • Manage the ticketing system queue to resolve issues through training, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions.
  • Define current state workflows and develop future state workflows that meet business needs and are technically relevant.
  • Document user incidents and requests, progress against fulfilling incidents and requests, user and technical requirements, and system design.
  • Provide first-level contact with end users via phone, email, and direct communication.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate systems and solutions based on revenue cycle user needs.
  • Maintain reliable and punctual attendance as scheduled.
  • Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
  • Engage with staff by rounding and attending meetings, representing I.T. professionally.
  • Participate in a rotating weekly on-call schedule for night and weekend support of EHR and other I.T. systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years related experience preferred.
  • EPIC Certifications preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree in the Computer Information Systems or Business field preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology preferred.
