About the position

The Revenue Cycle Analyst plays a crucial role in the successful implementation and maintenance of the Cerner EHR system and related technologies within the USPI network. This position involves supporting hospital managers and end users in the implementation of new Cerner solutions, maintaining existing systems, and providing education and training to staff. The analyst will also be responsible for problem-solving, testing, and planning for new technology integrations across multiple hospitals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide necessary support of the RCM and CIM solutions to end users.
  • Maintain the Cerner Scheduling Solution for 14 hospitals, including updating block scheduling templates and creating/maintaining appointment types.
  • Maintain the Cerner Registration Solutions for 14 hospitals, including creating and maintaining Registration Worklists and Bedboard.
  • Maintain workflow functions in the Cerner Patient Accounting Solution, including new user setups and billing rules.
  • Assist with the maintenance of an enterprise charge master for 14 hospitals.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the Cerner Supply Chain solution for 14 hospitals, including vendor and supply item management.
  • Prepare test strategy documents and manage program testing to validate system functionality.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform detailed and diversified duties including prioritization of high volume/deadline workload.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel.
  • Extensive knowledge of Cerner revenue cycle solutions including claims processing, patient billing, and coding.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with CPT Codes and HCPCS.
  • Ability to mentor EHR analysts and team members on a technical level.
  • Experience in a health care setting or managed care organization.
  • Previous experience with Cerner revenue cycle solutions and supply chain solution.
  • Bachelor's/Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • HFMA CRCR certification.
