About the position

The Revenue Cycle Systems Support Specialist at Lutheran Social Services (LSS) is responsible for analyzing and coordinating the client intake process for various LSS entities. This full-time role is crucial for supporting financial operations within the revenue cycle, ensuring accurate insurance coverage, timely prior authorizations, and quality assurance. The position involves collaboration with multiple programs across LSS's business units, focusing on areas such as credentialing, centralized intake, and electronic health records (EHR) support.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and coordinate all aspects of the client intake process for designated LSS entities.
  • Provide integral support to financial operations by ensuring accurate insurance coverage and benefit assignments.
  • Ensure timely prior authorizations and quality assurance in the revenue cycle.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Edit documents using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Participate in projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Produce reports as needed and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Prioritize and schedule work assignments to ensure maximum productivity is achieved.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and speed in work.

Requirements

  • Experience in revenue cycle management or related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of credentialing processes.
  • Familiarity with healthcare insurance policies and procedures.
