About the position

The Revenue Tax Analyst 3 - Quality Control position at the Louisiana Department of Revenue is responsible for performing high-level processing functions to validate taxpayer information before it is transmitted to the Revenue Information System. This role requires independent knowledge of filing requirements and form types for all 38 taxes administered by the LDR. The analyst will also create training documents and keep RPC employees informed of process changes, ensuring accuracy in the final manual review of tax returns and payments.

Responsibilities

  • Review applications for accuracy using independent knowledge of form design and fill-in requirements.
  • Monitor workflow and pending queues, assigning tasks to other units or personnel as needed.
  • Review deleted transactions and determine appropriate routing for reprocessing.
  • Perform other related tasks as directed by the Unit supervisor.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in which clerical work was a major duty.
  • Training in a business or clerical-related curriculum can substitute for required experience.
  • Completion of a business or clerical-related curriculum can substitute for a maximum of one year of required experience.
  • College training can substitute for required experience on the basis of 15 semester hours for six months of experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in tax processing or revenue collection.
  • Knowledge of Louisiana tax laws and regulations.
