Responsibilities

• Capture RF IQ data and accurately label signals for integration into the RF machine learning (RFML) pipeline.
• Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to determine signal characteristics and information.
• Participate in the setup, configuration, and operation of RF data capture equipment.
• Support the development, bring-up, and maintenance of the RFML pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Organize captured RF data so that others may quickly and easily find data of interest.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance signal analysis methodologies and contribute to machine learning initiatives.
• Document procedures, findings, and standard operating practices related to RF signal analysis.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
• In-depth knowledge of the RF spectrum, including common communication protocols such as Bluetooth, LTE, 5G, WiFi, etc.
• Proven experience with radio waveform analysis, including identifying signal parameters such as center frequency, modulation type, and data rates.
• Hands-on experience with RF equipment, including spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Strong proficiency with the Linux command line, scripting languages (such as Bash, Python, MATLAB), and signal analysis tools.
• Experience managing large amounts of data on Linux systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project goals.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with machine learning techniques and data labeling for supervised learning.
• Familiarity with data sanitization and privacy concerns related to RF signal data.
• Knowledge of advanced signal processing techniques and software-defined radio (SDR) platforms.
