About the position

Join JPMorgan Chase as a Vice President in the dynamic Risk Management and Compliance (RM&C) Portfolio Management & Data Insights team. You'll be at the forefront of anticipating and managing new risks, using your expertise to solve real-world challenges. Your role will involve strategic planning, problem-solving, and collaboration with senior leaders across various departments. You'll oversee RM&C's substantial technology budget, monitor investment progress, and promote governance on strategic digital transformation initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our company's growth and resilience. You'll provide oversight and governance on RM&C's half a billion dollar technology budget, monitoring ongoing progress on our investments while creating transparency to maximize benefits. You will also play a pivotal role in promoting the governance on strategic digital transformation initiatives (e.g. Large Language Models).

Responsibilities

  • Developing and refining governance frameworks for effective oversight of technology investments (inclusive of business and citizen developed solutions) and projects.
  • Implementing detailed technology portfolio and financial reporting, while overseeing the preparation of accurate portfolio and financial reports, and providing leadership to ensure appropriate narratives around the portfolio reporting.
  • Defining, measuring, and reporting on technology portfolio KPIs and metrics, working closely with business leads to monitor portfolio progress, and continuously track the technology portfolio to ensure business benefits are being realized.
  • Leading the standardization of defining and capturing business benefits and ROI, handling ad-hoc reporting, leading the connectivity of technology portfolio management systems, and translating complex portfolio data into consumable information for stakeholders.
  • Working closely with business leads to ensure well-written annual investment details, developing and overseeing a process to review and approve new technology demand throughout the year, and partnering with each business lead to develop business cases during the annual budget cycle.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience, ideally with a Finance or Accounting Undergraduate degree.
  • Proven track record in technology portfolio/investment governance.
  • Prior P&A and managerial experience will be a valuable asset in this role.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Collaborative team player who can build strong partnerships.
