Risk Management Specialist

About the position

As a Risk Management Specialist, you will analyze and manage risk management issues, such as employee injury, emergency preparedness by providing support to organizational management with information to make informed decisions on operational, procedural or environmental risks. You will implement procedures and systems to prevent loss for the agency. You will support management in audits and investigations of employee incidents or accidents. You will assist in developing policies and procedures and systems for safeguarding staff, client, customer and department assets safety and security. You will assist in educating others through trainings on policies, procedures, and protocols. To thrive in this position, you should have a strong knowledge of environmental health and safety procedures and standards. You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and motivate others in a fast-paced environment. You should be able to work independently and prioritized tasks effectively. Also, you should have a strong knowledge and operating different risk management, contingency planning and incident reporting systems. A successful Risk Management Specialist must be passionate about creating safe and healthy service environments. Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Emergency Management, Environmental Health and Safety or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience.
• Associate's degree in above fields and 6 years of professional work experience.
• Strong knowledge of environmental health and safety procedures and standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to train and motivate others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of different risk management, contingency planning, and incident reporting systems.
• Valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course.
