About the position

The RN position in the DC ICU Stepdown at Baptist Memorial Health Care in Southaven, Mississippi, is a critical role that involves coordinating and providing comprehensive care to patients utilizing the nursing process. This process is a systematic approach that includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring that patient care is tailored to meet individual needs. The nurse will blend caring, compassion, knowledge, and integrity to deliver safe, quality care that respects patient autonomy, dignity, and rights. The role also emphasizes the importance of collaboration with patients and their families to help them attain, maintain, and restore health whenever possible. In addition to direct patient care, the RN will perform various duties as assigned, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the healthcare team. The responsibilities of the RN include assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications as prescribed, and providing health education to patients and their families. The nurse will also participate in activities aimed at improving healthcare delivery and will communicate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Clinical leadership is a key aspect of this role, as the RN will support lifelong learning and complete assigned goals to enhance their professional development and the quality of care provided to patients.

Requirements

  • Minimum: RN
  • BLS Certification within 14 days of hire
  • Minimum: Computer literacy
