About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to join our healthcare team at Brookwood Women's Health, PC. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in an OBGYN clinic setting, assisting with patient assessments, administering injections, and ensuring compliance with provider protocols. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and medical documentation is essential for delivering effective care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of physicians and health administrators.
  • Administer injectable treatments/medications as prescribed, including rocephin, estradiol, betamethasone, and other injections/medications when applicable.
  • Assist in patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
  • Perform basic procedures such as suture/glue removal, setting up exam rooms for exams, and various procedures, assisting during exams and procedures, documenting patient history, vitals, etc. in our EHR.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Implement infection control measures to ensure patient safety.
  • Educate patients and their families about certain aspects of their OBGYN care.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Experience or training in OBGYN, primary care, internal medicine, or emergency medicine preferred and may be required.
  • Proficiency in medical documentation practices and familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
  • Previous experience in Women's health/OBGYN is most preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in OBGYN, primary care, internal medicine, or emergency medicine.
  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
  • LVN (Preferred)
